52 Card Pick-Up

1). Start with a deck of cards.

2). Assign an exercise to each suit of cards (Ex. Spades are for Push-Ups) Try to choose two upper body and two lower body exercises.

3). Lay the cards face down near where you will be exercising.

4). Choose a card and do that exercise for the number of reps. (Ex. seven of Spades do seven push-ups). Face cards are worth 10 (more if you want a greater challenge) and the Aces are worth one minute of rest. Take out the Aces if you want a nonstop workout.

5). This routine can be scaled by doing easier exercises (Ex. Step-Ups instead of box jumps) or by simply removing the face cards

6). Go wild and keep the Jokers in the Deck and do something like 20 Barbell Thrusters for each one.

Every day is different as the order and exercise selection will always change. The routine is limited only by your imagination. You can add or subtract cards if you are in a time crunch or just not feeling up to snuff. You can add equipment or cardio elements to the routine or you can just keep it simple. You can do this in your living room, the park, the gym, your hotel room, or just about anywhere you can imagine.
